How it works
Why get a Dirty Map?
Car remapping. Dynos are great tools for measuring power. But you need to invest huge sums of money to get results and data from them that correlate to every other part of the map which is not full throttle. And even then, do they really simulate your driving habits, your terrain, your altitude?
With our Dirty Maps we tailor your ECU maps for two key outcomes: maximum full-throttle power, as you would expect, and a tailored driving feel so your car performs everywhere in the rev range.
If you have seen our work online, you will have seen the benefits of proper tailoring — removing the OEM compromises designed for all markets, to make your car drive at its best.
Our method
How do we do it?
We take your list of mods and the real data off your car, and tune to actual airflow, your driving habits and your fuel grade.
We take real logs, from your real driving behaviour, to build a map that really performs. No off-the-shelf mapping. No one-size-fits-all.
Using our proprietary analysis software alongside the VersaTuner suite, we rapidly turn hours of data into human-readable output — so we can identify the ECU behaviours that are out of calibration.

Log your car
Capture logs on VersaTuner — full power pulls to redline, cruising speeds, driving around town. The more you send, the more accurate we can build your map — there is no limit to the data we can ingest.

Send us the setup
Your logs, a full list of mods and the fuel grade you actually run. That is everything we need to start.

Calibration
We send you three different map calibrations, chosen for your setup. They are yours to apply and log against in your own driving. Once you have put suitable time on each, send us all the data.

Get two maps back
We send you two maps. One is your fully optimised map, created from our library of calibrations and tailored using your own data sets. The other is the Safety Sister.
What you get at the end
Every map leaves here with a fuel Safety Sister.
Once your map is optimised and delivered as complete, you get a second, identical map built for a lower fuel grade. Both are yours to keep.
The fuel-safety sister
The same map, built for the grade below — 99 against 95 in the UK, 93 against 91 in the US. Pump fuels only; E85 blends are not covered.
Why bother with a second map?
These are high compression engines. Get the ignition wrong and you can do damage. Modern engines have advanced knock detection, but that is there for safety — it should not be triggered by configuration errors.
We also understand that many customers cannot always get the right fuel. So you have a second map to apply whenever you need it: still your fully tailored map, but with a little extra safety built in for knock-free running on lesser quality fuels.
With the rising cost of fuel, we know this is an option customers will be thankful for having as a backup, even if they never need it. And you get it included, free.

How long does it take?
Assuming logs come back quickly from your side, expect around two weeks start to finish.
We want customers to get the attention they need, so the number of people we take on each month is deliberately limited. This is a bespoke service — we are not churning out off-the-shelf maps, and the queue is short on purpose.
